I earned my advanced degrees in education and business at Northwestern University and the University of Notre Dame. I earned my master math teacher certification in Texas, and I am entering year 6 in the field of education. Prior to coming to DCI, I student taught in Chicago and later on became the lead teacher for AP Calculus AB / BC in FWISD. Last year at DCI, I was the subject coordinator for high school math. This year, I will be teaching both MYP and DP students from 8th to 11th grade while serving as the IB DP math curriculum planner who is solely responsible for completing the curriculum for DP SL math. In the summer of 2018, I served as the math instructor for three advanced math courses (one of which was a second year college level number theory class) with students from nine parts of the world including Belgium, United Kingdom, Sweden, Saudi Arabia, India, Korea, China, South America, and United States at the Summer Institute for the Gifted at Princeton University. Students were able to demonstrate their math achievement through the creation of culminating products such as encryption software & cipher, architectural design blueprints, three dimensional models such as that of a solar panel, tetrahedral origami, foldable airplane experimental report, and artworks related to the Golden Ratio.
