Nina Raffaele

Spanish I&S Teacher

I am very energized to be a part of the DCI Community! I have a Montessori background and believe in experiential education, global citizenship and cultivating diversity. In addition to my AMS Certification I have a B.A. in Cultural Anthropology and Latin American Women's Studies. I am passionate about Pan-Africanism and have been involved for many years in the growing afro-latino movement. Outside of school, I love cooking international cuisine, creative expression, singing, West African dance, collecting international music and watching cheesy Bollywood movies. Before coming into teaching, I managed an art gallery in Loiza, Puerto Rico and designed jewelry out of seeds and other natural materials.
