Math Instructional Coach

I have been an educator for 17 years with a focus in math. This will be my seventh year as an instructional coach. I became interested in pursuing a career in education while living in Guatemala as a Peace Corps Volunteer. The people living in rural communities had few options in life and I realized the power education has to open doors and create independent thinkers. I began my teaching career by working for a private special education school and also taught in Puerto Rico for a year. From there I joined the Teaching Fellows and taught math in Brooklyn, NY for another six years. I then transitioned into instructional coaching where I worked for the personalized learning program New Classrooms and as a math coach at Paul Public Charter School. I'm excited to join such a dedicated team!
