Mini Macnab

ELL Teacher

I am so excited to be a part of the DCI family and I am really looking forward to getting to know everyone! I was born in Madrid, Spain. My mother’s side of the family is English and my father’s is Spanish, so both languages have always been very present in my life. When I turned twenty, I moved to London and realized that I wanted to help other English Language Learners the same way that my teachers and family helped me learn and speak English. I have been an English language teacher for over ten years and I feel as passionately about it now as I did the first day I stepped into a classroom to teach. I love grammar, pronunciation, and helping my students realize their full potential. Prior to becoming an English language teacher, I spent three years in the kitchen as a pastry chef and worked closely with London based chef, Yotam Ottolenghi. Now, when I’m not teaching, you can find me cooking yummy recipes of all varieties and most recently I have taken up knitting. I absolutely love it and am knitting baby clothes for all my friends and family. I love learning as I go!
