This is my second year at DCI. I joined the Special Education Team in February of last year and co-taught both 9th grade ELA and Mathematics. This year I am co-teaching 9th & 10th grade ELA along with teaching the English Support classes. I am returning to the field of education after pursuing a wide and diverse range of interests. I recently completed my Masters in SPED focusing on Learning Disabilities. I have worked across Elementary and Middle School grades in both private and public schools. 20 plus years ago I worked in residential treatment for teenage boys and girls. Since then I have been an artist, antiques dealer, urban farmer, woodworker, and bartender among other things. I am excited to share my love of learning with DCI students. I am a certified urban beekeeper and volunteer with a farm that benefits returning veterans. I enjoy cooking and traveling; I spent this past summer in Italy. I recently received dual Italian citizenship and my goal now is to become conversational in Italian.
