A DC native, Liz (she/her) is thrilled to return to teach in her hometown after relocating from California. Liz graduated from UCLA's Teacher Education Program, and has been a classroom teacher for over a decade in both Oakland and Los Angeles. Anti-bias and anti-racist pedagogy is at the core of her practice, and she also facilitated professional learning with schools, districts, and organizations. Liz is also a member of the Teaching Tolerance Advisory Board, and is working on her first book. Outside of school, you can find Liz fly fishing, hiking, watching horror movies, and chilling with her two bunnies.
