Leticia Rodriguez

HS Assistant Principal

Hola! My name is Leticia Rodriguez and I am a native of the Republic of Panama. I received my Bachelor’s degree from the University of Panama in 2002 and have eleven years of teaching middle school in my native country. I came to the U.S. in 2007 and in 2013 I received two Master’s degrees in teaching Spanish as a second language from University Interamericana in Puerto Rico and Spanish linguistics from the University of Jaen in Spain. In the metropolitan DC area, I taught Spanish AP at DCPS and for the last three years I taught Spanish I, II and IB Spanish at WMST-PCHS. For me, my passion is teaching and in sharing my culture with my students. I believe that every child deserves to live the experience of new cultures and it’s that challenge that motivates me at DCI. When I’m not teaching, I love to cook for friends and family, listen to music, dance, attend Spanish cultural events and exercise. I’m very excited to be part of the DCI family and to teach my language to students.
