Kimberly Colley

Director of Student Support Services

I grew up in the District of Columbia and began my teaching career after receiving my Bachelor of Arts in German with a minor in Music from Davidson College. I received my master’s degree and certification in Special Education from The George Washington University, and taught for nine years in Fairfax, Virginia, and the District of Columbia. I joined the DCI Community in 2015 as a student support teacher. I taught all subjects, including math, English, reading, science, history, and life skills. After 3 years in the classroom at DCI, I decided to use my graduate school training to develop academic and behavior interventions. Outside of teaching, I enjoy playing with my cats, practicing the piano, and going to the movies. I am happy to be a part of the growing DCI Community and look forward to the upcoming school year!
