Jon Pallis

Math Teacher

I am originally from Connecticut and got a B.S. in Mathematics and Actuarial Science from UConn. While at UConn I played trumpet and baritone in the marching band. After graduating, I was an actuary for two years before realizing my real passion was education. I student taught through the Boston Teacher Residency program and then taught math at a high school in Boston for two year before moving down to D.C. While living in D.C., I taught at Marshall High School, an IB school in Virginia, for five years. I briefly left teaching to work for a company that creates state-level math exams. While there I oversaw the Florida high school math exams. Now I am going back to teaching and am very excited to join the DCI team! I enjoy listening to ska music, running, biking, hiking, and board games.
