Nihao! I’m originally from Beijing, China. I earned my Master of Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language from Sichuan Normal University. I came to the States in 2017 to pursue my second master’s degree in education from UMass, Amherst. My teaching career started in 2010 in Daegu, South Korea, where I spent two years as a Chinese teacher. Subsequently, I became a Chinese instructor in my university in Sichuan. After that, I had a several year stint in the Chinese army as a captain. Upon my graduation from UMass in 2019, I went to New York to be an afterschool program director in a dual language school. I recently moved to the DC area, and I am really excited to be part of the DCI community. In my spare time, I love cooking different cuisines and baking. I also enjoy going to music concerts. I am a cat lover, and I have a beautiful orange tabby.
