Elaine Li

Chinese Teacher

I am originally from China. I moved to the United States during high school. In the state of Montana, I received my bachelor’s degree as well as license in Secondary English Teaching. In 2016, I moved to D.C to become a Chinese teacher. Later, I earned her master’s degree in Teaching English as a Second Language (ESL) from Arizona State University. I speaks Mandarin, English, Cantonese, and some Japanese. A lot of my personal interests and work experiences center around the topic of language, because she believes that people can learn about a country’s culture while learning a language and that they constantly claim their identities through the use of a language.
