My name is Autumn Griffin and I am from Easton, Pennsylvania. I hold bachelors degrees in English and African/African American Studies from Penn State and an M.S.Ed in Education Policy from the University of Pennsylvania. I am currently a doctoral candidate in the department of Teaching, Learning, Policy, and Leadership at The University of Maryland - College Park. I have served as an educator since 2012, working first as an English Language Arts teacher in Atlanta, then as a literacy specialist in Philadelphia, and finally as a reading interventionist in Maryland. I have have experience in both traditional public and public charter schools as well as in the non-profit sector of education. I am passionate about social justice and service, particularly in education, and am excited to join the DCI team as educational support staff.
