French Teacher

I am so excited to be in my second year here at DCI along with this excellent team of educators committed to the International Baccalaureate and a student-centered approach to education! After earning a B.A. in French literature and education at Colby College, I spent a year in Paris on a Fulbright scholarship and then continued on to earn an M.A. from Boston College in French literature. Before DCI, I enjoyed teaching French at the International School of Paris where I was involved in language learning, teaching and IB curriculum development in the classroom and as Head of Languages and Head of French. I presented at two IB conferences in the region, one focusing on creating and implementing a language policy and one exploring how to integrate the teaching and learning of approaches to learning skills in the classroom. I feel so lucky to be a part of a school community that is dedicated to the ideals of the IB and so fully devoted to language learning. Outside school, I am busy raising my two bilingual children and enjoy reading, travelling, sports and cooking. I am looking forward to continuing to share my experience and my passion for the IB programs, for language learning and for “la francophonie” with the DCI community!
