Enjoy this wonderful camp that explores all things GEEK! Mr. Jorge Granados will lead students on a grand adventure exploring popular card games (MTG & Pokemon), Dungeons & Dragons, and all kinds of awesome nerdy pop culture games, films and tv shows!

PAINTING AND MIXED MEDIA ART FULL DAY
Students of all abilities will create a variety of different art projects: from oil painting on canvas to airbrush art, to piñata creation to designing their own skateboard decks!

COOKING CAMP: BREAKFAST/LUNCH/DINNER
Join our experienced DCI Cooking/Baking instructors in these enjoyable half-day programs to learn the art of cooking and baking for yourself and others! Prep and cleanup will be an important and expected part of the process! No experience required. This is a half-day camp that meets from 9am-12:00pm. DCI will do its best to accommodate dietary restrictions and allergies. If you have concerns about signing up, we encourage you to contact acedci@dcinternationalschool.org before you register.

Students will join the full-day art camp in the afternoons to work on a variety of projects from painting to airbrush to designing their own skateboard decks. It is not recommended to take the camp for two weeks, as projects may repeat.

LANGUAGE HALF DAY CAMPS
This is the perfect program for students in rising 6th-8th grade to practice their DCI target languages (Spanish, French or Chinese) and enjoy some fun activities at the same time! Programming is divided between 90 minutes of language practice, and a daily fun activity such as crafts, cooking, media and more! This is not a program for first-time language learners. We recommend at least one year of language instruction in any of these three languages, or completion of Phase 1 for students at DCI or DCI Feeder Schools. Please select your language at the time of sign up: Spanish, French or Chinese.

Campers will learn the fundamentals of cheer including creating and performing cheer, dance and tumbling. Cheer camp will be led by DCI’s MS Cheer coach who brings college cheer experience to our program and camp offerings.

ROBOTICS
This is an introductory half-day class to the basics of Robotics with DCI Robotics Lead Teacher Shane Donovan. Students will learn how to use the VEX robotics build system to design and build structures and machines that can solve challenges and play competitive games. No experience required at all! This camp meets in the afternoons from 1:00pm-4:00pm.

CODING CAMP
The camp is a 2-week experience, 3 hours per day from 9am to 12pm, in which students of all levels can learn coding through Apple’s Swift Playground environment. The instruction will come from DCI teachers, and students will learn coding skills and apply them to designing games and other graphics and programs.

IMPORTANT: There are no before or after care options available for summer programs at DCI. Students will not be let into the building until 15 minutes before programming starts, and will need to leave the building no later than 15 minutes after their program ends each day or will be subjected to late pickup fees.
