DCI and LAMB Schools Ribbon Cutting at Walter Reed

DESCRIPTION

You are invited to join Mayor Muriel Bowser for the ribbon cutting of the new DC International and Latin American Montessori Bilingual Public Charter Schools at the historic Delano Hall of the Walter Reed campus on Ward 4.

This special occasion marks the opening of the first public use building on the Parks at Walter Reed, formerly the Walter Reed Army Medical Center campus.

RSVP is required.

**PLEASE NOTE EVENT DIRECTIONS**

Please read carefully for instructions on how to enter the event site and about tours of the school. The Ribbon Cutting Program will begin at 11 a.m.

Tours of DCI/LAMB Schools

Tours of the school will be available for guests before the Ribbon Cutting. Please meet at the front of the school by 10:20 a.m. – the tours will begin promptly at 10:30 a.m.

Media tours will take place after the Ribbon Cutting.

Event Location

Delano Hall (Building 11)
1400 Main Drive NW – at the corner of 16th St, Main Drive NW and Aspen Street NW

Do not use the entrance at Butternut and Georgia Ave NW. You will not be able to get to the event site from that entrance.

Entrance to Event Site

There are two ways to enter the event site. Please use the gates at the following intersections:

  • 16th and Main Drive NW (FRONT OF SCHOOL)
    ONLY for: drop-off/pedestrian access, parking for persons with disabilities, speakers, DC govt and media
  • 14th and Aspen Streets NW (BACK OF SCHOOL)
    ONLY for: Pedestrian only access to event; School staff parking ONLY

For drop-offs/Uber: Use 14th and Aspen Sts. NW as the location and enter at the back of the school.

There is street parking in the neighborhood closest to the 14th and Aspen Streets NW entrance.

Those with disabilities or needing handicapped parking are asked to enter the site at 16th and Main Drive NW where you will be directed to parking.

Please allow yourself extra time so you don’t miss any of this special event!
