Growing up in different parts of the world, I developed an appreciation for all cultures. I was born in the Philippines, grew up in Saudi Arabia and Egypt, and finally moved to South Georgia when I was 8 years old. Adjusting to American ways, my teachers provided a safe environment for me to flourish. I knew then that I wanted to be a teacher, an MS English teacher, to be exact.
English was my second language (after Filipino), and I grew to love teaching others the English language as well. With that being said, I love grammar, I love reading, and I love sharing my knowledge/experiences with my students.
I received my B.S. in MS Education from University of Georgia and my M.Ed in TESOL/Reading Education from Georgia State University. I have taught in Atlanta, Baltimore City, and DC. This upcoming year will be my 8th year in the classroom.
When I’m not geeking out about education, I am cuddling with my schnoodle LaTi, running/lifting with my spouse, spending all of my money on travel plans, pretending I can dance, fangirling after my favorite authors, and eating lots and lots of ice cream.
