Mariana Torres

Spanish Teacher

I started my path as a teacher while I was still a student in college and I haven’t stopped, I love it! I have taught English in elementary school grade 2nd and 4th in Mexico and Spanish and French at West Virginia University.

I studied Literature at Universidad de las Americas, Puebla in Mexico, while in college I studied French and I did a year abroad studying French literature at Université de Grenoble in France.

I have a Master’s degree from WVU in Linguistics and TESOL and I just moved to D.C. I love languages and cultures, especially different cuisines. When I am not at school, I like to exercise, climb and do paddle surfing with my husband. I am excited to join DCI and get to know everyone.
