My name is Marcus Johnson and I was born in Jackson, Mississippi. I am a product of Jackson Public Schools, where I received a IB Diploma from Jim Hill World IB High School. I received my Bachelor’s Degree in History from Mississippi College in 2006, and my Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership and Administration from Grand Canyon University in 2016. I have been working in education for 12 years in several capacities including classroom teacher, coordinator for Talented and Gifted Services, Interventionist, and Regional Academic Coach. I come with a wealth of experience in working with IB students in the MYP program and will be serving as the Assistant Principal for 6th grade for the 2017-2018 school year.
