I’m happy to be teaching science at DCI. I grew up in Los Angeles and moved to Hawaii for college then stayed for 14 years. I have a BS in Natural Resources and Environmental Science, Graduate Certificate in Secondary Education, and a Master of Education in Curriculum Studies. After college, I taught several Science subjects for 8 years at Aiea High School (near Pearl Harbor), worked on an oceanographic research ship, and ran an outrigger canoe paddling club with my husband. He is from DC and we moved here, with our cat, in 2016 where I developed curriculum for The Urban Alliance. I also enjoy skiing, cooking, watching sports (Caps!) and traveling to places like Japan, Korea, France, England, Scotland, Tahiti, Mexico, Canada, and many great places in the USA.
