To apply to DCI for SY 2017-2018, you must submit your application through the the MySchoolDC common lottery. In order to apply to attend DCI you must apply through the MySchoolDC website. Choose DCI and your language choice when you make your selection to apply to DCI.
Parents of incoming 6th grade students from our member schools (DC Bilingual, LAMB, Elsie Whitlow Stokes, Mundo Verde and Washington Yu Ying) must apply through MySchoolDC and choose their student’s current language path. Member School students will receive a preference to attend, not unlike a sibling preference. However if you rank a school above DCI and receive a spot at your preferred school, you will lose your preference or right to attend DCI.
The My School DC common lottery is a single, random lottery that determines placement for new students at all participating schools. Student-school matches are based on a variety of factors, including the number of spaces at each school; sibling, and other preferences; and each student’s choices.
The common application will be available at MySchoolDC.org, starting on December 12th, 2016.
